Describe the Bug

Does not even TRY to login.

Im entering in the URL either https://sub.domain.ext/ and tried https://sub.domain.ext/apps/bookmarks/
It instantly fails, not a single try to login, the NC is on self signed, doing this over a reverse proxy with a valid real cert.

Expected Behavior

Login, or ask for login credentials, anything but instant fail

If information is missing in your bug report and the issue cannot be solved without it, I will have to close the issue after a while. Note also that GitHub in general is a place where people meet to make software better together. Nobody here is under any obligation to help you, solve your problems or deliver on any expectations or demands you may have, but if enough people come together we can collaborate to make this software better. For everyone. Thus, if you can, you could also have a look at other issues to see whether you can help other people with your knowledge and experience. Do I understand correctly that you are using self-signed TLS certificates for your nextcloud? From a discussion some years ago, it transpired that the Chrome's webextension manifest v3 doesn't allow web extensions to connect to HTTPS sites with self-signed certificates. So, there is nothing I can do, I believe, if you have evidence to the contrary I will be happy to try and fix this issue.

Yes and no. the NC it self has a self signed, but i go via my reverse proxy with a real Let's Encrypt certificate.

I get no other error, and it fails instantly. The NC self signed shouldnt even be visible for the extension since i go via the reverse proxy domain.

I think this is likely due to your setup, but you can open the debugging console as follows to see what's going on with the network request

Firefox

• Go to about:debugging
• go to "This firefox"
• click on Inspect button next to floccus entry
• go to the network tab in the inspector
• trigger a sync by clicking on sync now for the account of your choice.
• check the failing network requests

Chrome

• Go to chrome://extensions
• enable Developer mode
• click on dist/html/background.html button in floccus' entry next to "Inspect views: "
• go to the network tab in the inspector window
• trigger a sync by clicking on sync now for the account of your choice
• check the failing network requests

Weirdly, after i enabled dev mode, i could add the profile of the server hosted nextcloud with reverse proxy between (Using brave browser)
